Jim has provided Project Management services for a wide range of private and public clients and has a reputation of consistently and successfully delivering his clients’ project objectives.

Career Overview

Jim has a background in heavy construction, as a Project Manager and Construction Manager, for over 25 years, prior to establishing Jim Allen & Associates Pty Ltd in 1993. Jim has considerable experience in all phases of projects from feasibility, design and documentation, through to commissioning, handover and occupancy. Projects undertaken have covered all sectors and have varied in value from $1 million to $100million.

Pete Reilly
Pete Reilly
Director

Pete brings a depth of experience and knowledge to a project that comes from his extensive background in both construction and client-side Project Management. This background allows Pete to offer the client’s team a clear and precise insight into key aspects of construction projects from the contractor’s as well as the client’s perspective.

Career Overview

Pete has over 23 years’ experience both nationally and overseas, with many clients looking to follow up one successful project with another. His focuses are: understanding stakeholder requirements, ensuring a well-developed project brief is established, and implementing a solution-based thought process supported by strong communication and a collaborative approach.

Matt Perano
Matt Perano
Director

Matt is an accomplished project manager and former Army Officer who has managed a wide range of projects through every phase of the project lifecycle.

Career Overview

Matt has had 10 years’ experience in the New Zealand Army as an Officer in the Royal New Zealand Engineers as well as construction and project management experience in New Zealand and Australia. This has provided Matt with leadership and management training and experience in a wide variety of challenging environments.

Since joining JAA in 2014, Matt has been involved in a variety of successful projects. This has included tenancy fit-outs at the Calvary Adelaide Hospital, a new Warehouse fit-out for Flinders Clinical Trail Services, a refurbishment of the Adelaide Club.

Rick Schloithe
Rick Schloithe
Senior Associate

Rick has over 35 years of expertise in project management, program coordination, and project feasibility, master planning studies, contracts procurement, contract administration, design team coordination. He has a diverse range of exposure to residential, retail, commercial, industrial, engineering, land development, urban renewal, infrastructure and health projects both in Australia and internationally.

Career Overview

Since rejoining with Jim Allen & Associates in 2015 as a Senior Project Manager and Management Consultant Rick has had a considerable impact and has worked on projects on behalf of clients such as: Animal Welfare League, Barossa Council and Southern Cross Care.

We provide strategic and project management services and workshop facilitation on all phases of a client’s construction project.

From original concept and brief development, through to design and construction phases, and into the post- handover or occupancy stages, JAA provides the right people for the right project.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

We work closely with our clients to identify key objectives and formulate strategies, placing emphasis on ensuring key participants are aligned and work diligently towards achieving project objectives. We keep our clients regularly informed of key issues and progress and participation in the project is at their discretion. We customise procurement methods to suit each project, minimising risk and ensuring every project is delivered on time and within budget.

HISTORY

Jim Allen & Associates Pty Ltd was formed in July 1993 to provide independent Project Management services to clients embarking on projects broadly falling into the commercial, industrial, institutional, retail, residential and engineering categories. In 2006 JAA was purchased by Coffey International and Jim Allen himself was appointed as a Project Director and Business Development Manager for the newly formed Coffey Projects Australia.

In July 2012, Coffey International started the process of withdrawing its Project Management Services from the South Australian market. As a result of this corporate decision, Jim re-established the business, Jim Allen & Associates Pty Ltd, providing strategic and project management services to its clients through all phases of their projects.

Since the re-establishment of JAA in 2012, JAA has continued to be the Project Managers of choice when it comes to selecting the right people for the right projects. Alongside Jim, our senior team consists of Matt Perano and Pete Reilly as Directors and Rick Schloithe as Senior Associate.

Our team is driven by both a market and client need for experienced, competent and knowledgeable Project Managers and a need for a high quality service. Our Team offers experience in Major Construction, High Level Fit-out, Defence, Health Care, Aged Care and Airport works just to mention a few.
